Tip's from Me and Customers

The second gear Clutch should be adjusted , for Big Block Motors that turn 40,000 RPM +. Turn the set screw in a Half turn so second gear HOLDS a little longer. You can go 3/4 of a turn but if you go to far Second gear will HOLD to LONG. Use a little LOCK Tight so if you ever need to take it apart, you can.

Please, use a little Lock Tight on the set screw, that Locks the Clutch's to the Shaft, if you put to much it will LOCK the Clutch up and  you'll have to take it apart again.
